Food Bank of North East Georgia network

Mobile Pantry

One of the primary services offered through the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia and its community partners is the Mobile Pantry program. These mobile pantries function as several smaller, food banks that are strategically stationed throughout Athens and the surrounding areas to increase accessibility for those in need.

The Mobile Pantry program is designed to serve individuals and families who may not have reliable transportation or live near a traditional food distribution center. A comprehensive schedule, including specific dates, times, and locations for each mobile pantry, can be found on the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia’s official website.

Food Locator Tool

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia collaborates with numerous organizations and community partners throughout Athens and the surrounding areas to provide food assistance.

On the Food Bank’s website is a tool called the Food Resource Locator. This interactive feature functions as both a map and a searchable list of nearby food assistance options. By entering your address into the locator, it will identify and display organizations in your area that offer food resources and related services, making it easier for individuals and families to find the help they need.
